THE ROLE OF PHYSICAL EXERCISES IN THE REHABILITATION OF PATIENTS WITH RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS

Abstract

The article highlights the main problems of modern rheumatology, discusses the problems of negative environmental factors on the development of inflammatory-degenerative rheumatic diseases. The author analyzes the views of scientists in the field of medicine and health care on rheumatoid arthritis as a multifactorial disease. In recent years, the connection of negative environmental factors with the development of inflammatory-degenerative rheumatic diseases has been widely discussed. Despite the fact that scientists have made significant progress in elucidating the etiology of arthritis, the primary pathogenetic factors have not yet been found. As for its own pathogenetic mechanisms, it should rather be said about the immune nature of this disease. Perhaps an unidentified factor (bacteria, viruses) prompts synovial membrane plasmocides to synthesize specific antibodies against it. The "antigen-antibody" complex is still, for unexplained reasons, perceived by the body as foreign bodies, which must be suppressed due to the production of the rheumatic factor. Studies have shown that patients affected by arthritis can be divided into two groups. In patients of the first group, the disease occurs unexpectedly, most often under the influence of stress, but without a pronounced genetic predisposition. In the second subgroup of patients, rheumatoid arthritis occurs slowly and gradually. In most of these cases, the role of hereditary factors is obvious. Information is given on the latest methods of diagnosis and treatment in order to improve the prognosis for the patient. The article presents basic information about the causes, symptoms, pathogenesis of the disease. The expediency of performing exercises to prevent inflammation of the joints is argued. Chronic inflammatory diseases of the joints form the basis of the nomenclature of rheumatic diseases. Rheumatoid arthritis leads among them in prevalence and is the main cause of early disability of patients. It is emphasized that the competent implementation of health-preserving technologies depends on purposeful work on prevention and improvement of people, taking into account an individual approach. The author attaches significant importance to the quantitative and percentage characteristics of the main problem of modern rheumatology, because there is a significant prevalence among the adult population (about 0.5-2.0%), which amounts to 50-100 new cases of the disease per 100,000 population.
